I installed the new Ubuntu 10.04 64 bit today and when I tried to install the flash player from the Adobe site no joy. I found lots of complicated how to’s I even found a very helpful video on Youtube , I think it was helpful judging from the comments. The ironic thing being it was a flash video. There was  nothing simple until I stumbled upon this

“sudo aptitude install ubuntu-restricted-extras”

type this into your terminal(without quote marks) and Bob’s your uncle, you have flash as well as a few other goodies.
